ABOUT ANDREW NORMAN

Andrew Norman, with the help of George Olincy, created a Trust in 1950 and after Andrew’s death, George Olincy established the Andrew Norman Foundation as a corporate non-profit entity. George’s son Dan Olincy re-established the Foundation as a charitable Trust. Dan resigned as Trustee in February of 2021 and Grace Montoya was named as his successor. Grace worked with Dan Olincy on the Andrew Norman Foundation for over ten years.
Andrew Norman was married to Merle Norman and together they created the Merle Norman Cosmetics company in the 1930s. The company is still successful today and holds hundreds of franchises throughout the country.
Andrew and Merle Norman were both highly philanthropic as evidenced by donations made to different organizations. As a result, there are various buildings with the Norman name, such as the

  • Andrew Norman Library at Pacific Oaks College & Children’s School, Pasadena, CA,

Additionally, there is the Merle Norman Stadium USC Beach Volleyball and the Merle Norman Pavilion at the Santa Monica Hospital.

The Andrew Norman Foundation is a non-profit organization, under U.S. 501 (c)(3), with the headquarters based in California. The Andrew Norman Foundation is a charitable Trust and not registered as a corporation.
